Peels or Lasers , What Works for Post-Pregnancy Pigmentation?

My pigmentation has become worse after pregnancy, and creams haven’t helped. Are treatments like chemical peels or laser toning effective for hormonal pigmentation, or do they tend to come back?

Hormonal pigmentation, especially melasma, is known to be stubborn and can fluctuate over time. Treatments like chemical peels and laser toning can lighten it significantly and are commonly used for post-pregnancy pigmentation.

They improve the skin tone and texture when done regularly and under proper guidance. However, melasma behaves more like a chronic skin concern that requires proper treatment and care.

Although sunscreen, gentle brightening creams, and sometimes oral medications prescribed by your doctor help maintain the results. But the pigmentation can return if sun exposure or hormonal triggers continue, but with proper maintenance, most people keep it well under control.
