Cataract : Hospital, Insurance, Surgery Procedure & Work Considerations

I am a 43 year old from Palghar and have been diagnosed with cataract. I recently had a check-up in Vashi and have health insurance. I also have a history of kidney transplant and arthritis and take regular medicines. I want to know where the treatment will be done, whether it will be same day, if my insurance will be accepted, and whether it will affect my computer based job.

Since you are a diagnosed cataract patient, the treatment can be planned at our Jogeshwari center, which is nearby and convenient. The procedure is usually done on a same-day basis. You need to come early in the morning (around 9–10 AM) for evaluation, and in most cases, you will be free by 1–2 PM.

Your health conditions, including kidney transplant and arthritis, will be carefully reviewed before the procedure, and all necessary precautions will be taken. Having these conditions does not automatically disqualify you from cataract surgery, but proper medical clearance will be ensured.

Your Aditya Birla health insurance ₹60 lakh policy can be used for the treatment, subject to policy terms and approval.

The surgery will be performed by a highly experienced senior cataract surgeon, Since you have a computer-related job, this procedure is suitable for you.

Most patients can resume light computer work within a short period, as advised by the doctor after surgery.
