After taking an MTP kit at 6 weeks of pregnancy, it is normal to have bleeding for about 7–10 days, sometimes even longer. In your case, bleeding from February 2 to February 9, followed by mild spotting, can be part of the normal process as the uterus clears remaining tissue and the hormones start adjusting.
The bleeding that has started again after February 23, especially if it is mild and not associated with pain, can often be the beginning of your next menstrual cycle. After a medical abortion, periods usually return within 4–8 weeks, and the first period may be slightly heavier or different than usual.
However, it is important to monitor the bleeding. If it becomes very heavy (soaking one pad per hour) or is associated with severe abdominal pain, foul-smelling discharge, fever, dizziness, or weakness, you should seek medical attention immediately to rule out incomplete abortion or infection.
If the bleeding remains light to moderate and you are otherwise feeling well, it is usually not a cause for concern. If you have not already done so, you may consider a follow-up ultrasound or pregnancy test (3–4 weeks after MTP) to confirm that the abortion was complete.
