Why did bleeding return after taking antibiotics post MTP kit?

i took mtp kit mifepristone on 14th april , at 2nd day of missed period because upt was positive followed by misoprostol. Then bleeding occured for 5-7 days followed by spotting for upto 10 days. But then i noticed that the discharge had bad odor. So i sarted oral antibiotics metrogyl and doxy ... and bleeding returned again on 1st may as soon as i had antibiotics. it is light bleeding with no pain... what could it be ?

Bleeding returning after taking antibiotics after an MTP kit can happen for several reasons, and it is not always caused by the antibiotics themselves. After a medical abortion, bleeding may stop and start again for days or even weeks as the uterus clears remaining tissue and hormones continue adjusting. Physical activity, hormonal changes, or incomplete passage of tissue can also trigger fresh bleeding.
However, if the bleeding becomes heavy, contains large clots, is associated with severe pain, fever, bad-smelling discharge, or weakness, it could suggest retained tissue or infection and should be checked by a gynecologist. A follow-up ultrasound or examination is sometimes needed to confirm that the abortion is complete.
