Do Physiotherapy or Other Treatments Help Varicose Veins?Varicose Veins

I have varicose veins and recently developed cellulitis, and I’m worried it might be linked to varicose veins perforators. Could you guide me on whether varicose veins physiotherapy treatment can help in my case? Or do I need a proper treatment? Can you also tell some varicose veins in the testicles?.

As a doctor, I can see your condition may have progressed to an advanced stage. Developing cellulitis in the presence of varicose veins is a significant sign of an advanced stage. Also, perforator veins are faulty veins that allow the blood to flow backward, increasing pressure and the risk of infections, like cellulitis.Physiotherapy, particularly the exercises intended to improve calf muscle pump and circulation, will help in managing the symptoms.

A color Doppler scan would help in assessing your condition and would also help in designing a comprehensive treatment plan, which may include compression therapy, medication, or a minimally invasive procedure.

Also, common symptoms for varicose veins in the testicles include dull aching pain, heaviness, visible or palpable enlarged veins (like a bag of worms), and in some cases, infertility or reduced sperm quality. I recommend consulting a urologist if you suspect a varicocele.
