Bariatric & Body Contouring Consultation : Liposuction, Tummy Tuck & Weight Management
2 months ago
I have been struggling with excess belly fat and weight issues, and I also have a history of PCOD. My height is 146 cm and my BMI is around 39.5. I have tried medications for weight loss but did not get significant results. Could you please guide me on what treatment options are suitable for menwhether liposuction, tummy tuck, or bariatric surgery-and what kind of results and approach I should expect?

Based on your BMI and history, liposuction alone may not give the desired results, as it is primarily a body contouring procedure and not a weight-loss solution. In cases of higher BMI, bariatric surgery is often considered the more effective option for significant and sustained weight reduction.
After achieving weight loss through bariatric procedures, excess skin and residual fat can be addressed with procedures like a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) to improve body contour and remove loose skin. Liposuction may sometimes be combined, but its effectiveness is limited when there is generalized obesity rather than localized fat.
The choice of treatment depends on a detailed evaluation of your overall health, weight, goals, and medical history. A staged approach-first weight loss (if needed), followed by contouring procedures-often provides the best results. A consultation with a specialist will help determine the most appropriate and safe treatment plan tailored to your condition.
