Botox works by relaxing the muscles to reduce wrinkles, primarily targeting dynamic wrinkles, which appear when you make facial expressions. For example, younger people usually have dynamic wrinkles that show up when smiling or frowning. In contrast, static wrinkles are visible even when the face is at rest, typically seen in older individuals. Botox gives excellent results for dynamic wrinkles.
Fillers, on the other hand, are used to enhance facial features. They can add volume to thin lips, under-eye hollows, sunken cheeks, or improve overall 3D contouring of the face. Regarding safety, when done correctly by a trained professional, both Botox and fillers are safe. These procedures are minimally invasive not strictly surgical or non-surgical—and have very low risk of side effects.
