Can ICL lenses be safely removed if needed?

I read that ICL is reversible, unlike LASIK. How does this work in real life? If something goes wrong or my prescription changes later, can the lens really be removed safely?

Yes, one of ICL’s major advantages is reversibility. If your prescription changes or complications arise, the lens can be removed or replaced safely by an experienced surgeon. This gives patients peace of mind compared to permanent corneal procedures like LASIK. In real life, very few patients need lens removal, but knowing it’s possible reduces long-term anxiety and increases comfort in choosing this option.
