Delaying Adenoid Surgery in Toddlers: Risks to Speech & Growth?

We have been delaying surgery for my daughter’s enlarged adenoids because she is very small (3 years old). Could waiting too long cause permanent damage to her speech, hearing, or facial growth?

Yes, delaying for too long can sometimes cause issues. Very large adenoids can affect hearing, speech development, dental alignment, and even facial growth if left untreated. If the ENT strongly recommends surgery, it’s better not to wait too long.
