Do Frozen Eggs Work as Well as Fresh Ones for IVF?

I am concerned about the process of thawing and using frozen eggs in the future. Will the eggs survive, and how successful is IVF using previously frozen eggs? Are there significant differences compared to using fresh eggs?

Modern vitrification techniques make egg survival rates after thawing very high, often over 90%. IVF with frozen eggs has success rates comparable to fresh eggs, although individual outcomes depend on age at freezing, egg quality, and the fertility clinic’s expertise.

Some women may need multiple embryos to achieve pregnancy, but frozen eggs generally lead to healthy pregnancies and live births.

Proper storage and careful handling during thawing are essential, and fertility teams monitor protocols closely to maximize success.
