Do halos and glare from multifocal lenses resolve over time?

I am worried about night driving after multifocal lens surgery. I read online that halos and glare can occur. How common are these issues, and do they settle over time, or do some patients experience them permanently?

Mild halos and glare are relatively common during the first few weeks after surgery but usually decrease as the brain adapts. Long-term issues are rare, and most patients report clear night vision after a month or two. Choosing the right lens, proper pre-op counseling, and managing expectations are key. Many seniors are pleasantly surprised by how quickly they regain confidence in night driving and other activities.
