Early Pregnancy Termination : DNC Procedure and Travel Guidance

I am currently in Abu Dhabi and have decided not to continue my pregnancy. I have a beta HCG value of 5571 from my recent blood test. I want to know the safest procedure for termination, how long it will take, whether I need to stay in the hospital, and the necessary preparations. I also want guidance on traveling to India for this procedure and connecting with the hospital staff regarding costs.

Since you do not wish to continue the pregnancy, the recommended procedure is Dilatation and Curettage (DNC). This is a one-time procedure that is done under mild sedation, typically taking 10 to 15 minutes. An ultrasound is necessary before the procedure to confirm that the pregnancy is developing normally in the uterus.

It is advisable to complete the procedure on the same day rather than relying on abortion pills, as pills may not clear everything and could leave complications. You should plan to stay in the hospital for about two days for observation and recovery.

For your travel, you can come in Kochi, which is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from the airport. You can travel on a tourist visa, and it is recommended to take night flights to reach the hospital early in the morning. You will be accompanied by your partner, and hospital staff, particularly Anish, will provide detailed information regarding charges and formalities.

At the hospital, your age and blood group (23 years old, O positive) will be noted for medical records. Completing the procedure in this way ensures it is safe, quick, and effective, with proper medical support available throughout.
