Heavy bleeding after MTP normal recovery or sign of incomplete abortion?

My sister used an abortion pill bought from a pharmacy, but she has been bleeding heavily for more than a week. Is this normal after MTP, or could it mean that the abortion is incomplete? When should she consider a real doctor consultation?

Bleeding after abortion pills can last for a week or two, but if it is very heavy, with clots, weakness, or dizziness, it may be a sign that the abortion is incomplete. Incomplete abortion is one of the most common risks when pills are taken without medical supervision. If she is soaking more than two pads in an hour or feeling faint, she should see a doctor urgently. Even if the bleeding is just prolonged, it is still safer to get an ultrasound done to check whether any pregnancy tissue is left inside. Getting timely care prevents infection and future complications.
