Heavy Bleeding and 102°F Fever After MTP Kit : Is This an Emergency?

I am seeking urgent medical evaluation for my 21-year-old partner. Five days ago, she administered a Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) kit. Over the last 36 hours, her condition has significantly deteriorated. She is currently presenting with the following symptoms: • Heavy Vaginal Bleeding: She has been soaking through one pad every two hours consistently for the past 36 hours. • High Fever: Her temperature is currently 102°F. • Severe Abdominal Pain: She is experiencing excruciating and unremitting stomach pain. • Gastrointestinal Distress: She has been experiencing active vomiting, along with loose stools (diarrhea) for the past 24 hours

Your partner’s symptoms are very concerning and require immediate emergency medical attention. Heavy bleeding lasting this long (soaking one pad every two hours for 36 hours).
A high fever of 102°F, severe continuous abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea after taking an MTP kit strongly suggest possible complications such as incomplete abortion, heavy blood loss, or a serious uterine infection (sepsis).
This is not something that can be managed at home. Please take her to the nearest emergency hospital right away do not wait. She may need urgent examination, blood tests, ultrasound, IV fluids, antibiotics, and possibly a procedure to remove retained tissue if present.
In the meantime, keep her hydrated if she can tolerate fluids, do not give any additional abortion medication, and monitor her level of alertness. If she becomes dizzy, faints, has very heavy bleeding (soaking one pad per hour), or seems confused, treat it as a medical emergency and seek help immediately.
