How Noticeable Are Breast Lift Scars?

I’m worried about scarring after surgery. How visible are the scars, and are there ways to minimize them over time?

Scarring after a breast lift is normal since incisions are required to reshape and lift the breast, but most scars fade significantly over time. The visibility depends on the surgical technique used  for example, a periareolar lift leaves a small scar around the nipple, while a lollipop or anchor lift involves slightly longer incisions.

With proper care, scars usually become light and barely noticeable within 6 to 12 months. To minimize them, follow your surgeon’s aftercare instructions, keep the incision clean, avoid sun exposure, and use recommended scar-reduction creams or silicone gel once healing begins.

Choosing an experienced surgeon also helps ensure fine, well-placed incisions that heal neatly.
