At 16 years old, a weight of 105 kg is quite high and needs attention. BMI (Body Mass Index) is a basic measure that compares your weight to your height. A BMI above 25 means overweight, and above 30 means obesity. However, BMI alone isn’t always reliable, as it doesn’t show where the fat is stored or how much is muscle.

That’s why doctors also check body fat percentage, waist size, and related health issues like diabetes or breathing problems. If your child has more fat around the stomach, it’s more concerning and should be evaluated by a doctor to prevent future health risks.
