Is it normal for vision to be blurry after LASIK, and how long does it take to stabilize?

It’s been 5 days since my LASIK surgery and my vision is still slightly blurry in the evenings. Is it normal for eyesight to fluctuate during recovery, and how long does it usually take for the vision to stabilize?

Fluctuating vision in the first few weeks after Lasik is common, especially in the evenings when eyes are dry or fatigued. Most patients notice gradual improvement over the first month, with vision stabilizing within 4 to 6 weeks. In some cases, dryness can prolong blurriness, and lubricating drops are usually prescribed to help. If blurriness worsens or is accompanied by pain, redness, or halos, it is important to inform your doctor. Otherwise, mild fluctuations are a normal part of healing.
