Leg Pain / Vascular Concerns : What Tests and Specialist Consultation Are Needed?

I have been experiencing some leg-related issues and was advised earlier that a proper evaluation is needed. I haven’t yet consulted a specialist. Should I see a neurologist or a vascular specialist for this condition? What kind of tests will be required, and will both legs need to be examined?

For leg-related symptoms, it is important to first consult the appropriate specialist based on the suspected cause. In many cases, both neurological and vascular evaluations may be needed to understand the exact reason behind the symptoms. A detailed clinical examination by a doctor will help decide the next steps.

Tests such as Doppler or color Doppler ultrasound of both legs are commonly recommended to assess blood flow and rule out any vascular issues. Depending on the findings, your doctor may advise further investigations or refer you to a neurologist or vascular specialist if required.

It is best to get evaluated in person so that the doctor can examine both legs, review your symptoms properly, and guide you toward the correct diagnosis and treatment plan.
