Lipoma on Arm : Symptoms, Causes & Treatment Options
3 weeks ago
I have noticed a painless lump on my arm that has slowly increased in size over time. It feels soft and does not cause any movement problem, but it looks odd and worries me. What could this be, and do I need treatment?

Based on your description and the appearance in the images, this swelling is most likely a lipoma, which is a common, benign (non-cancerous) growth made up of fatty tissue. Lipomas usually feel soft, are painless, grow slowly, and are often seen on the arms, shoulders, back, or thighs.
They generally do not cause any harm and do not turn into cancer. Treatment is not always necessary unless the lump increases in size, causes discomfort, restricts movement, or creates cosmetic concern.
In such cases, surgical removal is a simple and safe procedure with quick recovery. A clinical examination and, if required, an ultrasound can confirm the diagnosis and help decide whether treatment is needed.
