Loose Skin After C-Section & Tummy Tuck : Is Liposuction or Revision Surgery the Right Option?
I am 38 and have undergone two C-sections and a tummy tuck around 10 years ago. Over time, I have developed loose skin around my abdomen along with fat accumulation, especially on the sides (love handles), which is quite visible in clothes. I also noticed that my belly button is not clearly visible after the previous surgery, and I had a hernia repair done earlier as well. I want to understand whether a second tummy tuck can be done in my case, if liposuction (including 360-degree) would help improve my body shape, how the surgery is performed, what the recovery time and hospital stay would be, and whether I should consider facelift or non-surgical options for loose skin on my face.

A revision tummy tuck with liposuction is likely recommended to address loose skin, previous surgical changes, and abdominal fat. A redo tummy tuck can be safely performed with a careful approach to protect blood supply, especially around the navel. For better body contouring, 360-degree liposuction may also be added to treat the abdomen, flanks, and back. The existing scar is usually reused and adjusted to remove excess skin while keeping it discreet.
Recovery typically involves a 2–3 day hospital stay, wearing a compression garment for 6–8 weeks, resuming light activities in 1–2 weeks, and full recovery over a few months. Since there is a history of hernia repair, proper evaluation (like an ultrasound) is advised before surgery.
Facial skin laxity, if present, is usually treated separately with procedures like a facelift for longer-lasting results. A final treatment plan should be decided after a detailed clinical assessment.
