Missed Periods After Taking Hormonal Pill : Should I Be Worried About Pregnancy or Hormonal Imbalance?
I am concerned because I missed my period, but my pregnancy test was negative. After my last period on 1st January, I had bleeding for four days before ovulation. My cycles are usually 28–30 days and last 5 days. I had a surgical abortion in October, after which my periods were regular. Recently, I took a hormonal “eye pill” on 10th January, and then I noticed bleeding from 14th to 18th. What could be causing these changes? Should I be worried about pregnancy? How long should I wait before taking any action?

Most likely, the bleeding you experienced from 14th to 18th January was a withdrawal bleed caused by the hormonal pill.
Your cycle has probably adjusted to a new date because of this hormonal change. Pregnancy is unlikely since your test was negative. You should wait for about another week to see if your period starts naturally, ideally between 14th and 21st February.
If it does not occur even after this period, you should consult again, and a pregnancy reconfirmation or medicine may be advised to regulate your cycles. No immediate cause for alarm, just monitor your cycle for the next week.
