Second LASIK enhancement: When is it needed and is it safe?

I underwent LASIK two years ago, and my vision was perfect until recently. Now I feel slight blurriness again. Can vision regress after LASIK, and is a second enhancement procedure safe?

In most cases, LASIK results are long-lasting, but a small percentage of patients may experience regression, especially if they had high power initially. This can lead to mild blurriness returning after a few years. Enhancement procedures, often called touch-ups, are possible and generally safe if the cornea is still healthy and thick enough. A repeat evaluation will confirm whether a second laser correction or another treatment like PRK is the better option for you.
