Sinus Treatment: How Soon Can I Resume Studies?Sinus Surgery

I am preparing for an important exam, but my sinus headaches and constant congestion make it impossible to focus. If I go for treatment now, how long does recovery usually take before I can get back to a normal study routine?

Recovery after sinus surgery is usually quicker than most people expect. The initial healing takes about 7 to 10 days, during which you may feel congestion or mild discomfort. Many patients are able to read and study lightly within a week, although full energy and comfort return gradually over 3 to 4 weeks. If you are treated only with medicines, the recovery can be faster, but the relief may not last long. Since your exams are important, you can discuss timing with your doctor so that treatment doesn’t overlap with critical study days. In the long run, treating the sinus problem may help you focus much better than continuing to suffer with headaches and blocked nose.
