What Can I Do to Relieve Vaginal Burning?
I've been experiencing burning in my vaginal area for 2 days. It burns a little during urination too. No unusual discharge. What might be causing this, and how do I get relief without making things worse?

Burning with some urinary discomfort suggests one of a few causes:
UTI: Classic signs are burning during urination, urgency to pee, and cloudy urine. A urine test at a clinic confirms it quickly. Treatment is a short antibiotic course.
Vaginal infection: Both yeast and BV can cause burning. Yeast burning is often worse after sex or bathing. A doctor can identify which one with a swab.
Contact irritation: Scented soaps, shower gels, or new laundry detergent can cause burning without any infection. Stop all new products and see if this improves the situation.
Atrophic vaginitis: In perimenopausal women, low estrogen thins the vaginal lining, causing burning and dryness.
