• Salpingostomy – This is performed to repair a damaged tube or to remove an ectopic pregnancy. During this procedure, the doctor makes an incision and inserts a laparoscope to visualize the fallopian tube, if the fallopian tube ruptures due to ectopic pregnancy, then a salpingostomy is performed to remove the ruptured fallopian tube. If the fallopian tube is not ruptured, then the vasopressin drug is injected into the tube to minimize the bleeding.
