Lipoma removal is generally safe, but like any surgery, it has some risks. Common issues include infection (rare), recurrence if the entire lipoma isn’t removed, temporary numbness or tingling, and very rarely damage to surrounding tissues. To minimize risks, follow your surgeon’s post-operative care instructions, keep the incision clean, attend follow-up visits, and report any unusual symptoms promptly.

Choosing an experienced surgeon helps ensure smooth recovery and reduces complications.
