How long does it take to recover after breast reduction surgery? When can I return to work, resume exercise, and perform daily activities comfortably?

Recovery after breast reduction is typically smooth. Most patients can return to light work within 7 to 10 days, while full recovery and resumption of exercise or heavy activities usually take about 4 to 6 weeks.

You’ll need to wear a supportive surgical bra for a few weeks to aid healing and maintain shape. Swelling and mild tightness are normal at first but subside gradually, revealing your final, more comfortable breast contour.
