Uterine Cancer Surgery : Open or Laparoscopic , What’s Better for Recovery?

My mother has been diagnosed with uterine cancer, and I've been told she needs immediate surgery. The doctor said open surgery is required, but after consulting others, I learned it can also be done through small holes (laparoscopy). Recovery is very important for my mom. Should it be done via small holes or open surgery, and can the cancer be completely removed?

A lot depends on the stage of diagnosis, how it was found (like via D&C, hysteroscopy biopsy, MRI, or PET scan), and how far the cancer has spread. For early-stage endometrial or uterine cancer, laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) is the best choice and can completely remove it 100%.

We remove the uterus, cervix, para-aortic lymph nodes up to renal vessels, and any suspicious areas magnified 20x for precision. With laparoscopy, we use ICG dye that glows to spot even tiny spreads, making it superior to open surgery.

You see and remove everything clearly from liver to distant areas through small holes. Recovery is fast: home in 2 days vs. 10 days in hospital with open surgery’s big cut. Chemo/radiation can start sooner if needed.

Open surgery leaves a large scar and longer recovery, so laparoscopy is ideal for early cases. It’s individualized bring her MRI reports to confirm stage (uterine vs. cervical) and involvement. Early action gives the best chance for full removal and quick recovery. Consult a laparoscopic expert soon
