Repeated Miscarriages at 30 : What Tests Should I Get?
I am 30 years old and have had two miscarriages. My doctor said there might be some problem with my uterus. I am very scared and worried about my future pregnancy because I want to have a healthy uterus and a successful pregnancy. What should I do in this situation? What tests or treatments should I consider?

Multiple miscarriages do not always mean that there is a problem with the uterus. There can be several reasons for recurrent pregnancy loss. In some cases, uterine abnormalities may be responsible, such as congenital structural issues where the uterus has an unusual shape.
These can include a partial or underdeveloped uterus, the presence of a septum dividing the uterine cavity, or a heart-shaped (bicornuate) uterus. Such uterine shape abnormalities are commonly associated with recurrent miscarriages.
If no obvious uterine problem is found, miscarriages may be due to genetic causes, hormonal imbalances, or other medical conditions within the body that require further evaluation. One important diagnostic and treatment procedure in such cases is hysteroscopy, where a small camera is inserted into the uterus to directly assess its shape and cavity.
In some situations, a laparoscopy may also be performed to examine the uterus from the outside. If a correctable abnormality is detected during these procedures, doctors can often treat it at the same time, reducing the risk of future miscarriages and improving the chances of a healthy pregnancy.
