Irregular Periods with Heavy Bleeding : Causes, PCOS Risk & Pregnancy Guidance

I am Pratiksha. I have been facing irregular periods for a long time. Whenever my periods start, I initially have spotting for 5–6 days, followed by heavy bleeding that lasts for around 10–15 days. My cycle is very irregular, sometimes delayed by 1–2 months. I have consulted multiple doctors and taken 21-day medications, but the issue keeps recurring. I also underwent an ultrasound, where I was advised to have a hysteroscopy and polypectomy, but I am unsure about it. I want to understand what could be causing this issue, whether it is hormonal or something else like PCOS or a polyp, and what the right treatment approach would be. Also, can I plan for pregnancy while dealing with this condition, and what should be my next steps?
