Symptoms with Throat, Chest/Back Pain & Vomiting Sensation : What Could Be the Cause?

I'm experiencing throat discomfort along with severe pain that started recently and is still present. Along with that, I also have back/rib pain, shoulder pain, and a feeling of nausea or vomiting. The symptoms have been continuing for a few days. I’m unable to properly explain everything during calls due to connectivity issues. What could be the reason for these symptoms, and should I be concerned?

Your symptoms-throat discomfort along with back/rib pain, shoulder pain, and nausea-can be related to several conditions, ranging from throat or respiratory infection to gastric issues or even muscle strain.

Sometimes, acid reflux or viral infections can also cause a combination of throat irritation and referred pain to the chest or back, along with vomiting sensation. Since the symptoms are persistent and involve multiple areas, it’s important to get a proper clinical evaluation.

A doctor may need to examine your throat, check your vitals, and possibly suggest basic tests to identify the exact cause. In the meantime, try to stay hydrated, avoid heavy or spicy food, and take rest. If the pain increases, or if you develop fever, breathing difficulty, or worsening nausea, seek medical attention promptly for further assessment and treatment.
