Managing Severe Joint Pain During Postpartum Recovery
2 weeks ago
I recently delivered my baby and haven’t taken any calcium or postpartum supplements. Lately, I have been experiencing severe joint and body pain, to the extent that I am finding it difficult to even walk straight. I am worried whether this could affect my recovery or my ability to care for my child. I also want to know if there are any safe exercises or interventions I can do at home to strengthen my body without harming myself or the baby

Severe joint and body pain after childbirth is common, especially if no calcium or nutritional supplements were taken during the postpartum period. This can lead to weakness, difficulty walking, and discomfort in daily activities.
It is important to assess your overall nutritional status and consider safe supplements such as calcium and vitamin D after consulting a doctor. Gentle strengthening exercises under supervision can improve mobility and reduce pain. However, any exercise or intervention should be tailored to your current condition to avoid overstrain or injury.
Regular follow-up and physiotherapy guidance can help ensure a safer and faster postpartum recovery while minimizing pain.
