Should Adenoid Surgery be Delayed until age 6 in children?

We visited ent to check for adenoids for my 3.5yr old and he had 50 percent blockage..we were recommended medical management for three months after that during followup on the 5 month the adenoid percentage increased to 60 percentage. and he was then recommended surgery but his pediatrician told to wait till6years he has adenoid faces and mouth breathing and dar circles Should we delay the surgery till 6 yrs...Will the adenoid reduce in size or should we wait till six years?? Will delay cause any issue??

Its a misconveption that at 6 adenoids surgery be better in comparison to 3 yrs. Adenoids plays a major role in hindering child’s growth so it should be done as early as possible so that child doesnt become a mouth breather or face issues with teeth and facial bone development. Although adenoids could be treated medically but only if they are grade 1/2.
Rest could be cleared with ENT surgeon since they’re best in dealing with adenotonsillitis than peadiatricians.
