A period that is 1 to 2 days late is not uncommon and can occur due to stress, changes in routine, illness, travel, hormonal fluctuations, or a naturally irregular cycle. If your pregnancy test is negative, pregnancy is less likely, especially if the test was taken correctly.
If your period does not start within the next few days, repeat the pregnancy test after 1 week or consult a gynecologist for further evaluation. Seek medical advice sooner if you develop severe pain, unusual bleeding, or other concerning symptoms.
