Why is my period delayed after taking emergency contraception?

I had unprotected sex on August 3rd. I took Norix that day. On August 10th I had my period for 2.5 days. It's October month and I still didn't get my period. so I took a test on October 6th and fortunately it was negative. but October month is also passing by and I still haven't got my period
