Can a diabetic patient eat dates, or are they too high in sugar?
I really like eating dates, especially as a healthy snack, but after being diagnosed with diabetes, I’ve stopped having them out of fear. Some people say dates are natural and healthy, while others say they are too sugary. Can diabetics eat dates at all?

Dates are high in natural sugar, so they should be eaten very carefully in diabetes. If you want to include them, limit to 1–2 dates occasionally and avoid eating them daily. It’s better to have them along with other foods to reduce their impact on blood sugar.
Monitoring your sugar levels after consuming them can help you understand how your body responds.
