Can Bilateral Minimal Hydrocele Be Treated Effectively Without Surgery?

I have been diagnosed with bilateral minimal hydrocele and want to know if hydrocele treatment without surgery is truly effective. I already tried homeopathic medicine for a hydrocele, but did not experience much relief. Which approach is safer for long-term management? surgery, Ayurveda, or other natural remedies? I prefer natural options before considering an operation for a hydrocele.

As your doctor, I want to give you a realistic perspective. Bilateral minimal hydrocele is usually harmless and may not require any treatment if it doesn’t cause pain or interfere with daily life. Non-surgical approaches, like homeopathy, ayurveda, or other natural remedies, generally do not shrink the hydrocele. They may provide comfort temporarily, but they are not proven to resolve the fluid collection.

For long-term safety, monitoring the hydrocele and managing any discomfort with safe painkillers (like paracetamol or ibuprofen) is the most reliable approach. Surgery is considered only if the swelling becomes large, painful, or persistent, but it is not urgent in mild cases.
