Coping with the emotional and physical stress of IVF treatment?

The doctor explained that IVF requires repeated injections, scans, and hospital visits. I am worried about the emotional stress, physical pain, and daily disruption. How do couples usually cope with this, and are there ways to make the process less overwhelming?

IVF can indeed be stressful, both physically and emotionally. Many couples find counseling, support groups, or online communities helpful to manage anxiety. Planning ahead, keeping a calendar of appointments, and communicating openly with your partner reduces stress. Mindfulness, gentle exercise, and self-care can help manage side effects of injections and medications. Fertility clinics also provide guidance and reassurance, helping couples feel more in control. Knowing what to expect each step of the way makes the process less overwhelming and more manageable.
