Endometriosis and fertility deciding between surgery and IVF for better chances of conception?

We’ve been trying to conceive for 18 months and my fertility workup shows endometriosis. Should we try IVF directly or is surgery first better? I don’t want to waste time. what do real couples usually do?

The decision depends on the severity of disease and your age. If you have large cysts or severe disease, surgery may help improve IVF success and relieve symptoms.

In milder disease, many couples go straight to IVF without surgery, especially if time is a big factor. The choice is individual, and a fertility specialist can guide you on the best path based on your reports and priorities.
