Endometriosis excision impact on fertility and chances of future pregnancy ?

I’m 31 and have had crippling period pain and fatigue for years. Laparoscopy confirmed endometriosis and my doctor advised excision. I want to keep my chances of fertilitising in future, will excision preserve my chances of getting pregnant, or will I need more surgery later?

Excision surgery is often chosen when fertility is a concern because it removes visible disease and can improve natural conception chances. Many women are able to conceive naturally after surgery. However, endometriosis is a chronic condition and recurrence is possible over time. If you are planning pregnancy, it is better to try sooner rather than later after surgery, as fertility outcomes are generally more favorable in the years immediately following excision.
