Taking an emergency contraceptive pill can disrupt your normal menstrual cycle, causing irregular bleeding or an early period-like bleed, which makes it difficult to predict your next cycle.

The bleeding you experienced after taking the pill may have been withdrawal bleeding rather than a true period.

Your next period may be earlier or later than expected, and cycles can take 1-2 months to regulate. If your period is significantly delayed or you have concerns, it’s best to consult a gynecologist.
