How Painful Is Gynecomastia Surgery Recovery?
For those who have had gynecomastia surgery, how painful is the recovery process, and how long does it take before one can return to gym or exercise? Are there any permanent scars or shape changes in the chest afterwards?

After gynecomastia surgery, most patients experience mild to moderate pain, swelling, and bruising for the first few days. Pain is usually manageable with prescribed medications. Light activities like walking can be resumed within a few days, but gym workouts and heavy exercise are generally recommended after 3–4 weeks, or as advised by your surgeon. Scarring is permanent but usually small and fades over time; with proper technique, most scars are barely noticeable. Chest shape improves immediately after surgery, and final results become more defined as swelling goes down over 3–6 months.
