IVF Babies : Myths vs Reality

I have heard that IVF babies often have abnormalities, genetic issues, or slow brain development. Is this true or is it just a myth?

This is 100% a myth. IVF babies are created using the mother’s eggs and the father’s sperm, just like natural conception; the only difference is that fertilization happens outside the body in a controlled medical environment.

IVF babies are also screened for any genetic or developmental issues, just like any other baby. The chances of abnormalities in IVF babies are the same as in naturally conceived babies. IVF babies are completely healthy, and there is no evidence that they have slower brain development or higher risk of genetic problems.
