Multiple Underarm Lipomas: Diagnosis, Surgery Process & Recurrence Risk
2 months ago
I have 2–3 lumps under my underarm area at different spots. I got ultrasound, blood tests, and a CT scan done, which suggest they are lipomas. They are slightly painful at times. What is the next step, how is the surgery performed, and can these lumps come back after removal?

Based on your reports and symptoms, these lumps are most likely lipomas, which are benign fatty growths under the skin. I would advise you to share all your reports for a final confirmation.
If confirmed and the lumps are causing discomfort or are visibly prominent, we can plan a minor surgical procedure to remove them. The surgery is simple and involves making a small incision over the lump and removing it completely.
Since your scans indicate that the lumps are superficial, the procedure is generally safe and straightforward. Recurrence at the same site is rare if the lipoma is fully removed, but new lipomas can develop in other areas over time. Proper evaluation and planning will help ensure effective treatment.
