What foods should be avoided in diabetes to keep sugar under control?

Managing my diet has been the most challenging part after being diagnosed with diabetes. There’s so much information online that it becomes confusing what to eat and what to avoid. Can you clearly explain which foods I should stay away from to keep my sugar levels under control?

People with diabetes should limit or avoid foods that cause rapid sugar spikes. These include sugary foods (sweets, soft drinks), refined carbohydrates (white bread, maida products), fried foods, and processed snacks.
Also, reduce intake of high-sugar fruits and packaged foods with hidden sugars. Focus more on whole grains, vegetables, lean proteins, and fiber-rich foods. A balanced diet plays a major role in controlling diabetes.
