Why did bleeding stop so quickly after taking abortion kit?

Bleeding starting about 6 hours after taking misoprostol, along with cramps and a few clots, usually suggests that the medicines had an effect. However, some women bleed for several days, while others may have bleeding that becomes very light or stops sooner. This variation can occur and does not automatically mean that the treatment has failed.

Since your bleeding stopped quickly, it is not possible to confirm from symptoms alone whether the abortion is complete. We recommend follow up with a gynecologist and, if advised, an ultrasound after the recommended interval to make sure the pregnancy has completely terminated and there is no retained tissue. Seek medical attention immediately if you develop severe pain, heavy bleeding, fever, dizziness, or weakness.
