Why does one breast feel firmer than the other after augmentation?
I had breast augmentation some time ago and recently noticed that one breast feels slightly firmer than the other. There is no major pain, but the difference wasn't there earlier. Is this something that should be checked?

Asymmetry in firmness after breast augmentation can sometimes indicate capsular contracture, where scar tissue forms around the implant, causing it to feel harder.
While the absence of major pain is reassuring, any new change in texture or firmness that wasn’t present before should be evaluated by your surgeon.
It is advisable to schedule a follow-up consultation to rule out any complications and ensure the implants are in good condition.
It normally occurs due to capsular contracture, kindly get yourself properly evaluated by your surgeon.
Early postoperative changes like these are common. Unless there is significant pain, redness or discharge allow a couple of months for it to settle down. After that you can get evaluated if it persists
Early post operative changes are common during healing.. If there is sudden pain redness better to get it evaluated by the surgeon.. If it is after few years post surgery it can be due to capsular contracture.
