Why is bleeding light or short after taking misoprostol for abortion?

I did abortion at 3weeks of preganacy but l have not exprienced heavy bleeding,l dont know why,l experienced bleeding for few hours after taking misoprostol what doesit mean

At around 3 weeks of pregnancy, some women may experience only light bleeding or bleeding for a few hours after taking misoprostol. This can happen because the pregnancy is very early and there may be less tissue to pass. Not everyone experiences heavy bleeding or large clots.
However, the amount of bleeding alone cannot confirm whether the abortion was successful. We recommend a follow up with a gynecologist and, if advised, an ultrasound or pregnancy test after the recommended interval to make sure the pregnancy has completely ended and there are no complications.
