Can Sebaceous Cysts Turn Dangerous If Ignored?
Are sebaceous cysts dangerous if left untreated? I’ve read that they are usually benign, but can they become infected, grow bigger, or turn cancerous in rare cases?

Sebaceous cysts are generally benign and harmless. However, if left untreated, they can sometimes become infected, grow larger, or very rarely undergo malignant changes. Most cysts do not cause serious problems.
Regular monitoring and prompt medical attention for signs of infection or rapid growth are recommended. Surgical removal is a safe way to prevent complications, especially for cysts that are symptomatic, recurrent, or cosmetically concerning.
