After taking abortion pills, it is normal to have spotting or light bleeding for a few weeks. Since it has been about 27 days, the spotting with small clots can still be part of the healing process.

After delivery, pregnancy, abortion, and breastfeeding, your hormones take time to settle, so periods can become irregular. Usually, a normal period comes back within 4 to 6 weeks after abortion, but for some women it may take up to 2 months.

You should not worry if the bleeding is light and there is no severe pain. But please see a gynecologist if the bleeding becomes very heavy, has a bad smell, or you get a fever or strong stomach pain, or if spotting continues for more than 6–8 weeks.

The doctor may advise an ultrasound or medicines if needed. For now, this spotting can be normal, and with time your periods should return once your body recovers.

After delivery and abortion, prolonged spotting with clots may be due to hormonal changes or internal issues. So consult a gynecologist through face-to-face consultation, call, or message for proper evaluation and guidance.
